Wanda Schellenberg is a piano teacher and mother of three children. Her youngest child, Alynne, now 19 years old, has 5 P minus Syndrome, a genetic disorder that includes global developmental delay and deafblindness. Wanda has been encouraged and inspired by the concept of deafblind Intervention, particularly as implemented in teaching Alynne during her school years.
Wanda has subsequently taken five courses on deafblind Intervention to further understand and support her daughter. She has served on the Board of the British Columbia CDBA for the past 4 years and is an active participant in the Rare Disease Foundation Parent 2 Parent Support Group. Wanda and her family live in Vancovuer. BC.
