Federal Strategy

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I am writing to share with you that a Federal Data and Measurement Strategy for Accessibility has now been published. You can access the Strategy here: Federal Data and Measurement Strategy for Accessibility, 2022 to 2027.

The Strategy is available for download in an accessible PDF format, and alternate formats such as large print, Braille, etc. are available on request. Videos of the Strategy in American Sign Language and Langue des signes Québecoise will be published on www.canada.ca as soon as they are available.

This Strategy has been developed to help measure progress in implementing the Accessible Canada Act and in realizing a barrier-free Canada. The Strategy sets out the approach the Government of Canada will take in collecting, analyzing and sharing information and data related to accessibility for use by all Canadians, including federal government departments and agencies, regulated entities and the disability community.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who provided insights and feedback during the development of the Strategy. They were much appreciated and helped shape the Strategy. We look forward to further engagement as the process of putting the Strategy into action unfolds.
